Are you convinced that Christianity is really the way to go. Christianity leaves no room for fence sitting, Jesus pretty much tells us that we are for Him or against Him. Are we really convinced that by following Him we will be better off? A sure way to get frustrated in anything is to be half way committed. for instance a half way committed runner will lose every race, a half way committed basketball player wont make the team, a halfway committed singer will only sing to the shower. Do any of the once I just mentioned reming you of your Christian life? I know that it’s hard to commit to something we sometimes don’t understand; for instance, how can paying $5,000 to the government be Christian when all I have to say is a little white lie to only pay $500 and I can use “some” of the money to help a family out? Can I really trust God in that if I follow His principles He will find the right person to marry? How can I dedicate a couple hours a day to God’s service when I’m hurting financially and need the time to work?

These and more test our true commitment. If God is all powerful, all knowing and loves us wont He be there for us, carry us? Could it be that the things we think we need, we really don’t need and the things we don’t think we need might be what we really need? Victory can only be accomplished by true commitment, lack of true commitment only sets us up for failure every time. A disciple of Jesus is fully committed.
